Hi, my name is Marin! (pronounced Muh-rin)

 

Originally from the quaint bayside town of Annapolis, Marin Bagbey is an illustrator who now resides in her quiet corner of Baltimore, Maryland with a lively cat named Magnus. She holds a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and is a proud member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). Marin is an illustrator with skills in digital painting and world building, which often involves throwing together as many patterns, colors, and historical references as she can into a piece. Besides illustration, Marin has experience in writing, art direction, animation, research, 3D modeling, programming, and the occasional local theater set dressing. She leads art classes and workshops for kids and teens at Artfarm Studios and once a week, you can find her at the nearest bookstore, seeking out new artists and stories that speak to her.
